Very good question! The retainer cost for the private jeweler is $500 which is paid at the beginning of the engagement. The full $500 is credited towards the final purchase price of the jewelry purchased. No purchase is required. The cost of the jewelry is based on the design and attributes selected during the custom design sessions. Eclatant strives to keep the cost of all pieces below main street retail prices while ensuring exceptional quality. All costs are presented during the design process to ensure transparency and a rewarding collaborative experience.

The collaborative design sessions are typically one hour each and most clients use two sessions. The design drawings / computer aided illustrations / gemstone sourcing process averages one to two weeks and is completed between sessions one and two. The second design session is for refinements and modifications. After a design is agreed upon, the made-to-order piece is created and delivered in four to six weeks.

If you are designing a piece for a special dates like engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays please start the process 60-90 days in advance. We have pieces that can be modified and made quickly, however fully custom designs can take up to three months to complete.

Eclatant is proudly a direct to client service. We do have a limited selection of popular items to purchase directly on the website. The vast majority of our engagements are one-on-one with clients that want private, collaborative, and personal design experiences. We do not operate retail locations, which allows us to offer a premium experience while saving clients money.

Yes, absolutely! This is one of the best ways to incorporate your wishes into your custom piece. We request that all clients share photos and/or an inspiration board from websites like Pinterest. The Private Jeweler will collaborate with you using your inspiration pieces and design a custom piece you with love.

We strive to meet and exceed your expectation, but if we can not create a design that is perfect for you. Then there is absolutely no obligation to purchase any pieces. Eclatant will retain the initial fee for the time spent working with you and we will provide you the designs developed.

When you see a piece on the website that you are interested in. Please message us, and provide a photo of the piece. We will collect details about your desired sizes, metals, stone shapes, and any additional modifications. We will then be able to provide a quote. Once accepted, we will email/text you an invoice for payment.

Most items are shipped for free using FedEx or UPS. They are shipped with insurance, tracking numbers, and require a person to sign for delivery.

Once the item has been shipped, you will receive the tracking number from FedEx or UPS. 

Most purchases are returnable within 30 days on all unused, undamaged, unmodified, non-customized, non-engraved pieces. Custom pieces and made-to-order pieces are non-returnable.

Contact us and reference your item description, order number, and shipping tracking number. Please let us know the reason for the return. 

Contact us as soon as you discover the issue. Do not attempt to correct the damage. We will pay to have the item returned to us.

We will provide an estimated delivery date once the finished piece is agreed upon but before the purchase.
Most pieces are customized for the buyer and the delivery time varies based on the extent of the changes.

• A signature is required for all FedEx/UPS deliveries.
• We do not ship to P.O. Boxes — only physical addresses are accepted.
• Shipping addresses cannot be changed after the order is placed.
• Once shipped, packages cannot be redirected to another address.
• FedEx/UPS will attempt delivery three (3) times. After the third attempt, the package will be returned to Eclatant Diamonds.
• All pieces are insured by the carrier up to the replacement cost of the item. If the buyer provides their own gems, then a written replacement cost will need to be provided by the buyer.
• We are not responsible for delays caused by:

      - Weather conditions
      - Carrier delays
      - Incorrect or incomplete address information

Eclatant Diamonds offers a 30-day return policy on all unused, undamaged, unmodified, non-customized, non-engraved pieces. Items must be returned in the original packaging and in the original condition. All items will be tested to ensure that the metals, diamonds, and gemstones are the originals. This can cause a short delay in processing refunds. 

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days from the shipping date for a refund.

If a purchase needs to be cancelled after the payment was received. Please contact us within 24 hours and we will determine if the purchase is cancellable.

Most customized purchases are cancellable within 24 hours of the payment.
